INDIANAPOLIS — The second day of the Collegiate Track Cycling National Championship continued at the Major Taylor Velodrome, with additional medal rounds and finals determining national titles in multiple categories.
While night events were not attended by reporters, official timing data provided the following results for the sprint finals:
-
Men’s Sprint: Noah Mandow, Santa Monica College — Gold
-
Women’s Sprint: Stephanie Lawrence — Gold
During the following morning session, team representatives and spectators arrived early for the pursuit and time trial events. Limited interviews were conducted with family members of participating riders, who noted that collegiate teams typically travel by air, while team staff members transport bicycles and equipment by vehicle. This travel process can pose logistical challenges for out-of-state programs.
In the Men’s Pursuit Final, Riley Wrightsman earned the gold medal.
In the Women’s Kilo Time Trial, Stephanie Lawrence claimed another first-place finish.
The day concluded with the Points Races, in which riders earn points through periodic sprint laps and by lapping the field. Final results were:
-
Men’s Points Race: Brody McDonald — Gold
-
Women’s Points Race: Stephanie Lawrence — Gold
The championship continued through the weekend with additional team events and awards ceremonies. Complete results are available at tracktiming.live.
